After our first successful Shaddai Shrine Under the Oaks Bluegrass Festival in May 2008, it was decided to make the fund raising event an annual event. So, the Shaddai Roadrunners and Divan, worked in cooperation with the Bay County Commission and City of Parker to make this happen. The Shaddai Shriners would like to thank the Bay County Commission, Commissioners; George Gainer, Bill Dozier, Mike Thomas, Jerry Girvin, and Mike Nelson,: County Manager Ed Smith,: Utilities Services Director Jamie Jones,: Risk Management Manager Alice Martin,: Parks and Recreation Manager Gary Buchanan,: Todd Hanson,: Jack Palma,: and their workers,: Bay EMS Services,: Bay County Sheriff's Office,: the City of Parker Mayor Brenda Hendricks, Parker Police Dept.; Parker Fire Dept.; the bands and the sponsors.
The Under the Oaks Bluegrass Festival will take place for many years to come. The County Commission has proclaimed the second weekend of every May as the annual Shaddai Shrine Bluegrass Festival at Under the Oaks in Parker, FL.
