Bluegrass Music Festival

The Shaddai Shriners Road Runners and Buccaneers presents the 2010 Under the Oaks Bluegrass Festival on beautiful St. Andrews Bay at Under the Oaks Park on US Highway 98/Tyndall Parkway, Parker, Florida May 6, 7 & 8, 2010. We have a great line-up of bands and vendors to make this years festival a big success. These bands donate their time and talents to help the Shriners with this fundraising event and we want to give them a great Big Thank You from the start. We have a great list of sponsors whom help make this event possible and we want to Thank them as well. Please take time to view the bands and sponsors pages and if you have the chance, tell them Thank You for helping the Shriners with this event.

Our MC’s this year are Dr. Shane Collins of WPAP-FM 92.5, Wayne Gentry of WMBB-TV 13 and Jerry Tabbat also of WMBB-TV 13. The Festival hours are Thursday night 5:00pm til 11:00pm and Thursday night is open mic night for bluegrass bands that are not in the main event and is on a first come basis. Friday is 5:00pm til 11;00pm with a late night jam by the fire afterwards and Saturday is 10:ooam til 11:00pm. Admission is $25.00 for all 3 days or $10.00 per day. Children 10 -18 are $10.00 for all 3 days or $5.00 per day. Children under 10 are free. Under the Oaks Park is a beautiful park that has a wonderful playground for the children and again this year the Shriners (Mr. T) will have the train there for the kids to ride while the parents enjoy the music. No coolers are allowed in the festival.

We also want to Thank all the Tyndall Air Force Base and civilian personnel that volunteer and support this event.

This Year's event was made possible with the help of Bay County Commisioners, Department of Risk Management, the Department of Parks and Recreation, and all of the County employees who put time into building our beautiful stage and updating the electrical and plumbing facilities at the park.
